| Setting up of Coal Regulator |
| The Government has proposed to set up an independent Coal Regulatory Authority to regulate and conserve resources in the coal sector. The draft Bill, 2012 for setting up of Independent Regulatory Authority for coal sector has been referred for consideration of a Group of Ministers and thereafter the details will be finalized. This was informed by Shri Pratik Prakashbapu Patil, Minister of State in the Ministry of Coal while replying a written question in Rajya Sabha today. |
