MCCI Delegation to China




MCCI with assistance of Indian Embassy in Beijing, China mounted a 14 member delegation to Beijing and Shanghai in China led by Shri Deepak Jalan, President, MCCI and Managing Director, Linc Pen and Plastics Ltd during September 24-28, 2012.
The Business Mission kicked off with a Group Meeting with Mr.Yu Ping, Vice President, CCPIT ( China Council for the Promotion of International Trade)/ China Chamber of International Commerce, who is of the rank of Vice Minister in China. The Ping was accompanied by Mr Zhao Jinchang, Vice President, Mr Jiang Wanrong, Project Manager, Ms Han Bing, Regional Manager CCPIT and Ms Amanda Jiang, Secretary General, CCPIT Commercial Sub Council. Mr Li Shaofu, Deputy Director, Training and Liaison Department of CCPIT Light Industry Sub Council.
The Indian Delegation was represented by ‘Linc Pen and Plastics for writing instruments’, ‘two Business Conglomerates including Rose Valley Group and JSIS’; ‘largest Fibre Cement Sheet manufacturer- UAL Industries’, ‘Real Estate Developer- Saltee infrastructure’; ‘Consultants- K.N.Jain, BNK’; ’Pharma Retailer- Dhanwantary Medicare’; ’Paraffin Wax manufacturer- Tirupati Polychem’; ’Largest fresh Fish Exporter- Dikai International’.
Mr Ping was very pleased with the diverse range of sectors represented by the MCCI Delegation and promised to disseminate the information among their members so that interested Chinese Companies can liaise with their Indian counterparts. President, MCCI requested the select ‘Kolkata’ as the destination for 2013 next ‘Made in China’ exhibition’ (since 2012 has been booked for Mumbai) and ‘Wireless Electronics’ exhibition to be organized by CCPIT, Kolkata being the ‘Manufacturing Hub’ and the appropriate route to enter East. Mr Ping invited Indian Delegation to the Made in China exhibition due to be held during December 20-22, 2012 in Mumbai. Rose Valley evinced interest to collaborate with any Chinese Company willing to enter Indian market specially for ‘Electric Buses’.
Provision of ‘Grievances Desk for Indian businessmen’, ’Certifying the authenticity of Chinese Pharma Companies’ were two very significant requests by the visitors.
Indian Embassy representative, Mr Abhishek Shukla, Second Secretary, Indian Embassy in Beijing, China announced that Project, Employment & Contract and Business are the three categories of VISA introduced by the Indian Government to facilitate commercial interaction with China.
The delegates are due to meet 8 associations in Beijing on one one basis including, ‘China Foundry Association’, ‘Chinese Academy of International Trade and Economic Cooperation’, ’China New Energy Chamber of Commerce, China Chamber of Commerce for Import and Export of Medicines & Health Products’, ‘China Building Materials Federation’, ’China National Garment Association’, ‘China Chamber of Commerce for Import and Export of Machinery and Electronic Products’ where the world renowned Huawaei would meet Rose Valley. The delegates are due to meet Shanghai SME Association in Shanghai
The meeting ended with welcoming MCCI initiative and with a promise to work more closely with the Chamber.
