Allocation for Information Technology for Twelfth Five Year Plan
During the Twelfth Five Year (2012-17) Plan, the Department of Electronics and Information Technology (DeitY) has sought an allocation of Rs.33,400 crore for the programme “Promotion of Electronics Hardware Manufacturing”.
The break-up of the proposed allocation for the programme is as under:

The proposed allocation in the Twelfth Plan for the Programme, “Promotion of Electronics Hardware Manufacturing” has been sought keeping in view the objectives of the draft National Policy on Electronics 2011. The allocation is required to fund various strategies outlined in the draft National Policy on Electronics 2011. 
 The Minister of State for Communications and Information Technology Sh Sachin Pilot gave this information in theRajya Sabha recently.
