Outokumpu sells its brass rod plant

Outokumpu has sold its brass rod plant in Drünen in the
Netherlands to Bons & Evers Holding BV, a privately owned Dutch metals
company. In 2011, the brass rod plant had a turnover of approximately EUR 75
million, and it currently employs approximately 170 people.
The consideration and cash flow impact of this transaction are marginal.
However, Outokumpu will book a loss of approximately EUR 17 million in the
Group’s second quarter accounts from this transaction. After the sale, Outokumpu
has divested all its brass operations.
