Outokumpu has sold its brass rod plant in Drünen in the Netherlands to Bons & Evers Holding BV, a privately owned Dutch metals company. In 2011, the brass rod plant had a turnover of approximately EUR 75 million, and it currently employs approximately 170 people.

The consideration and cash flow impact of this transaction are marginal. However, Outokumpu will book a loss of approximately EUR 17 million in the Group’s second quarter accounts from this transaction. After the sale, Outokumpu has divested all its brass operations.
