Improved environmental and labor conditions at the Cherepovets plant: Siemens delivers new secondary dedusting system for converter steelmaking plant of Severstal

Siemens VAI Metal Technologies received an order from the Russian steel producer OAO Severstal to install a secondary dedusting system in the converter steelmaking plant at the Cherepovets production site. All future secondary emissions incurred during converter operation will be collected and treated. This will lead to a significant reduction in environmental emissions and substantially improve the working conditions of the operating personnel. The new secondary dedusting system is scheduled to go into operation in mid 2015.
