Harijan had no outstanding from Dunlop

Kolkata, 17 February: While reporting the sad news of death of Shri Kailash Harijan (aged about 65), a former worker of the Sahaganj plant of Dunlop India Ltd, a section of the media mentioned that he did not get all his dues from the company. Dunlop India management emphatically denies the allegation and wants to put on record that Shri Kailash Harijan had retired on 31 March 2004, much before the Ruia Group took control of the company, and his name did not feature in list of employees who had opted for Voluntary Retirement Scheme. As per records available with the company, Shri Harijan had no outstanding dues. The management hopes that henceforth a clarification from the company will be sought for before carrying any news defaming the company. Dunlop India management sincerely condoles Shri Harijan’s unfortunate demise.
