Hotel Sahara Star bags a record 16 out of 52 awards
at The Golden Star Awards 2012
Mumbai, February 2012 – The year 2012 has started on a high note for Hotel Sahara Star, numerous recognitions and accolades have brought proud fame and appreciation to the hotel. It has immensely boosted the morale of Team Sahara Star.
The soaring team spirit has once again led Hotel Sahara Star achieve various awards at the recently held Golden Star Awards. The national Industry awards recognize performance across diverse sectors of Hospitality and Hotel Sahara Star and the team outshined in 16 different categories. Judged by an esteemed panel of Senior Professionals from the industry, each property was evaluated on the basis of size and growth in revenue and employees, quality, and diversity of clients and evidence of quality, competence and management capabilities.
The awards program created more than 4 decades ago; recognizes outstanding accomplishments under the banners of Golden Star Awards, with a genuine intent to congratulate the Hotels and Hospitality Industry along with their best employees who have taken that extra step.
Team Sahara Star surpassed expectations in multiple categories and the employees along with the property were announced winners in 16 different categories. In the F&B category, 3 top restaurants NAMAK, Ocean & Mabruk were recognized for serving superb quality authentic cuisines; high standards of quality, service and praise from customers; the culinary team was awarded for their relentless efforts in providing the best service to guests and Executive Chef Salil Fadnis, Pastry Chef Lawrence, Chef Vishal Singh and F&B Manager Kishor Joshi were honored too in the respective categories. SEDUCTION 2012 was the Most Admired Marketing Campaign of the Year and Shri Jignesh Patel was given Most Admired Technician of the year.
Apart from receiving recognitions in the service sector, senior professionals from the hotel were also awarded at the ceremony- Shri Manish Sodhi was honored as the Most Admired GM of the Year, Mr. Rajesh Mohan for the most admired Sales & Marketing person of the year and Ms. Bhumika Sheth for the Most Admired PR Professional of the Year.
The property also won in other categories like Most Admired CSR Practicing Hotel of the Year for contributions to Aseema, Blood Donation, Marathon etc, the Most Admired Banqueting Service of the Year and Most Admired Conference Center of the Year.
