French Delegation to Meet Minister Planing
A high level delegation from France led by Mr. Jacques Auxiette, President of the Regional Council of Pays-de-la-Loire will call on Dr. Ashwani Kumar, Minister of State for Planning, Science and Technology and Earth Sciences tomorrow at Planning Commission.
The delegation will include mayors of several French towns, Member of French Parliament, representatives of universities and companies of Pays-de-la- Loire region. The visiting delegation will also include representatives of leading French media personnel. Considering the deepening of Indo-French bilateral relations in all spheres, this is an important visit where the two sides will discuss possibilities of enhanced cooperation and collaboration between the two countries.
Among the French regions working with Indian partners, the Pays-de-la-Loire region (located in western France, fifth most populous region in France with 3.3 million inhabitants, and a Gross Domestic Product of 75 billion euros approx) has been the most consistent and energetic over the past five years.
