Xstrata confirms that it has finalised thermal coal contract pricing with a major power utility customer in Japan for the 12 month period beginning 1 April 2010 at a price of US$98 per tonne, basis 6322 kcal GAR.

 

Additional contract discussions with Japanese customers will continue in the week beginning 5 April.
