New Chinese bar mill includes Siemens VAI bar reducing/sizing mill
To achieve greater operating efficiency, improved product tolerance and mechanical properties, Quzhou Yuanli Metal Products Co., Ltd. has ordered from Siemens VAI a Bar Reducing/Sizing Mill (BRSM). The equipment will be incorporated into the mill layout for a completely new bar mill to be erected in Quzhou City, Zhejiang Province, People’s Republic of China. The mill will produce 800,000 tons per year of special bar quality (SBQ) steel grades. Commissioning is expected for early 2011.
