KraussMaffei Berstorff: Sought-after system supplier for the construction industry in the Caucasus region
(Munich, August 07, 2012) Azenco, the largest company in the construction industry in Azerbaijan, has again selected KraussMaffei Berstorff as the system supplier for high-tech plastics processing machines. The order from Azenco's head office in Baku contains several twin-screw extruders in the 32D series for window profile extrusion and rubber profile extrusion machines for window and pipe seals. The order also includes a double-band system for producing sandwich panels which - when insulated with polyurethane or mineral wool - are used in the construction of industrial buildings.
Reliable partner for proven value systems

By choosing KraussMaffei Berstorff, Azenco has found a partner who can supply an extensive range of premium quality products from a single source. "Since our orders are normally financed through government infrastructure programs, we attach great importance to a reliable partner whose binding promises are kept“, emphasized Sahib Musaev, General Director of STP Az, a subsidiary of Azenco with its offices in Sumqayit. "We also expect first-rate machine quality coupled with a high degree of technological know-how“, added Musaev. All the machines will start production at STP Az in the Sumqayit Technology Park in Sumqayid. STP Az is regarded as the largest processing company in the entire Caucasian region. In addition to an extensive range of plastic products, the company's product portfolio includes cable production, systems for technical gases, solar collectors, electroplating systems and much more besides.

More than 15 lines in operation at STP Az

"We are proud that Azenco has again chosen our products", said a delighted Andreas Kessler, General Sales Manager at KraussMaffei Berstorff. "The extensive follow-up order provides convincing proof of a satisfied customer." 17 pipe extrusion lines for producing PE, PP-R, PP and PVC pipes in the diameter range from 20 to 630 mm, as well as individual extruders for producing corrugated pipes have been supplied since 2010. 16 of these lines are already in operation. Azenco only sells its end products on the local market in the Caucasian region. Azerbaijan is regarded as one of Europe's most important suppliers of crude oil with emerging market tendencies. Due to the government's promotional programs for infrastructure measures, the propensity to invest in the construction industry is very high and it can be ideally served by the wide range of products offered by KraussMaffei Berstorff.
