| Signing of Production Sharing Contract for one Exploration Block under ninth bid round of New Exploration Licensing Policy (NELP-IX) PRESS NOTE |
| The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs (CCEA) in its meeting held on 23.08.2012 approved award of 5 blocks to the first ranked/single/next highest ranking bidder under NELP-IX. Out of five blocks, Production Sharing Contracts (PSCs) were signed on 30.08.2012 with the awarded companies in respect of 4 exploration blocks. PSC for the remaining block MB-DWN-2010/1 has been signed on 10.09.2012 with the awardees Consortium BG Exploration and Production India Ltd (BGEPIL) (Oprator) and BHP Billiton Petroleum (International Exploration) Pty. Ltd (BHPB). |
