To tap the growing demand of Volkswagen Cars in the city
Mumbai, June, 2009 – Volkswagen India today announced the appointment of Volkswagen Coimbatore as its authorized dealer at Coimbatore.
Volkswagen Coimbatore has set up a well-equipped sales & service facility with tools and equipment capable of servicing 8 cars per day at Sathyamangalam Road, Essorpe Mills Compound, Sivanadapuram.
The announcement is in line with Volkswagen’s commitment towards expanding its dealerships across the country in order to tap the exponential demand of its vehicles Passat and Jetta as well as establish itself as an important player in the country in the coming years.
Commenting on Volkswagen’s dealer network strategy Mr. Neeraj Garg, Member of the Board & Director, Volkswagen Passenger Cars said ‘Our partnership with Volkswagen Coimbatore reiterates Volkswagen’s strong focus on widening our presence across key markets and providing prompt and efficient services for our existing customers as well as the opportunity to for others to own a Volkswagen car. We are confident that these new partnerships will be major milestones for Volkswagen’s expansion plans in India.’
Volkswagen currently operates Franchises in Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Chandigarh, Noida, Ludhiana, Jaipur, Cochin, Chennai, Ahmedabad, Goa, Kolkata, Lucknow, Pune and now adds its facility at Coimbatore. In the year 2009 Volkswagen aims to add 25 more outlets in India taking the total outlets to 40.
