Visit of 100- Member Bangladeshi Youth Delegation to India from 6 -13 October, 2012 |
A 100 Member Bangladeshi Youth Delegation is visiting India from October 6-13, 2012 on the invitation of Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports. The itinerary involves interaction with local youth, visits to academic, tourist, industrial and cultural sites. It also has elements of educational values and interactive session in different areas ranging from infrastructure development, eco-tourism to information technology. This group of youth from Bangladesh comprises youth (Male- 57 & Female-39) from diverse background including students young journalist, entrepreneurs, social workers, representatives from voluntary organizations etc. During their stay in India, the Youth delegation will visit historical sites in Delhi and Agra before departing for Kolkata. In Kolkata, they will be visiting the important tourist and popular sites like Victoria Memorial, Asiatic Society, Botanical Garden and Science City. The youth Delegation will also have an opportunity to see the footprints of great poet and Nobel Laureate Rabindra Nath Tagore and his beloved creation in Shanti Niketan. This visit of 100 youth from Bangladesh will further strengthen the bonds of friendship and mutual understanding between the two great neighbouring countries. It will also facilitate exchange of ideas, cultural, political and economic relations between the two countries and enhance regional co-operation and world peace. |
