The young brothers, Aristos and Achilleas Constantinou, founded Ariella in the swinging, psychedelia of sixties London. Aristos was a graduate of the London College of Fashion and Achilleas a law graduate of Kings College London.

They flourished at the heart of the British fashion explosion on Carnaby Street where their father was a master tailor for years. They were part of the inspirational new trends that revolutionised perspectives of fashion forever, retailing their own creations from a first floor room at no. 45 Carnaby street, the brothers soon expanded to 11 retail outlets in London‘s West End and surrounds, including three in Carnaby Street, two stores on Oxford Street, one in Duke Street opposite Selfridges, as well as stores in Laussane, Switzerland, Washington DC and Chicago Illinois, USA.
