Siemens to supply of one of the largest sinter plants ever to be built in India
Jindal Steel & Power Limited (JSPL) placed an order with Siemens VAI Metals Technologies to supply a new sinter plant on a process turnkey basis. The project is part of a new integrated steelworks currently under construction at Patratu, Ramgarh District, State of Jharkhand. The sinter strand will have a suction area of 490 m2 and the plant will be capable of producing approximately five million tons of high-quality sinter per year. The order volume for Siemens is a two-digit million euro figure. Following the plant start-up scheduled for mid-2013, this will be one of the largest sinter plants in operation in India.
