Shri P.K. Misra, Secretary, Ministry of Steel Bags IOD Honour

Shri P.K. Misra, Secretary, Ministry of Steel has been conferred with “Distinguished Fellow of IOD (Institute of Directors)” honour for the year 2011. Justice M.N. Venkatchaliah, National Chairman, Institute of Directors (IOD) presented the fellowship certificate to Shri Misra at a function held in the Capital on last Friday.

Each year the Standing Committee of the Executive Council of Institute of Directors selects its fellows and persons of eminence for conferring the Award of “Distinguished Fellowship”, for their outstanding contribution to business and society. First Distinguished Fellowship of Institute of Directors was conferred on Bharat Ratna Dr A.P.J. Abdul Kalam in July 1994.

Institute of Directors (IOD) was established in July 1990, as an independent wholly non-profit apex association of directors to spearhead India’s quality revolution and build brand India by focusing on directors training and development. Its focus is on building tomorrow’s boards by realigning their moral compass and making them more ethical, transparent, accountable and equitable.
