Polysius and Vecoplan found a joint venture

Alternative raw materials and fuels are gaining in importance

Polysius AG of Neubeckum, a member company of the ThyssenKrupp Group, and Vecoplan AG of Bad Marienberg, a subsidiary of M.A.X. Automation AG, are going to address themselves even more strongly to environmental technology for the cement and lime industry. To this end, the two firms have established the joint venture Vecoplan FuelTrack GmbH. FuelTrack offers the complete chain of equipment from preparation up to use of the alternative fuels in the rotary kiln and calciner.

Alternative fuels: that is energy production from biomass, residues and waste materials. Domestic refuse, bulky household trash and commercial wastes can, to a large extent, be converted to high-grade fuels. This helps to reduce the consumption of expensive and increasingly scarce fossil resources and also cuts the amount of waste going to incinerators or landfills.

The joint venture combines the cement and lime manufacturing technology knowhow and plant engineering and construction activities of Polysius with Vecoplan's knowhow and plant technology on the alternative fuel preparation sector.

Within the Polysius Group, the joint venture forms the competence centre "Alternative Fuels". The newly established company is headquartered in Bad Marienberg.
Polysius AG, a member company of ThyssenKrupp with subsidiary firms on all 5 continents and more than 2,000 employees all around the world, is one of the leading engineering companies equipping the cement and minerals industries.

Polysius is a strong partner offering project elaboration, engineering and design, shipment, field assembly and commissioning, as well as comprehensive service activities, for complete production lines, individual products, plant conversions and upgrades.
