Siemens to supply static var compensation system to CMC Steel Texas
Siemens Industry, Inc., has received an order from CMC Steel Texas to supply a turnkey SVC Plus static var compensation system to the steel mini mill located in Seguin, Texas, USA. When running the electric arc furnace, this system will improve the grid power quality needed to meet the stringent requirements of the utility. The new compensation system is scheduled to go into operation in November 2012.
