SAIL’s Rajbhasha House Journal Ispat Bhasha Bharati bags first prize

 

New Delhi: The Rajbhasha house journal of Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL) - Ispat Bhasha Bharati has been awarded with first prize by the Ministry of Home Affairs under the All India House Journal Award Scheme for the year 2008-09. SAIL Chairman Mr C.S. Verma received the trophy from H.E. Vice President of India, Mohd. Hamid Ansari at the Hindi Diwas celebrations organized at Vigyan Bhavan on 14th September, 2010. The program was chaired by Hon’ble Home Minister Shri P. Chidambaram. Hon’ble Minister of State for Home Affairs, Shri Ajay Makan, Hon’ble Minister of State for Home Affairs Shri M. Ramchandran and Secretary (Rajbhasha), Government of India, Shri B.S. Parsera also graced the occasion along with other dignitaries. Director (Personnel) SAIL, Mr B.B. Singh was also present on the occasion.

 

It is worth mentioning that Ispat Bhasha Bharati, which aims at popularizing and promoting the use of the official language, has carved a niche for itself at the all India level amongst various Government/PSUs Magazines. Published and circulated for free, the journal had also bagged the first prize for its performance during years 2005-06 and 2006-07. In order to propagate the use of Hindi, the publication is sent to libraries, universities, government departments and undertakings as well as Hindi scholars. Besides receiving appreciation from Official Language Implementation Committee Meeting, Delhi, Ispat Bhasha Bharati has made a mark at various organisations and fora from time to time.
