Emerging Economies Set to Become Main Engine of Growth

  • Emerging economies are leading the global economy out of crisis and towards recovery, state economists and officials at the World Economic Forum’s “Summer Davos”
  • China’s economic recovery is on track; by 2012 China will be contributing over one-third of global growth 

Tianjin, People’s Republic of China, 15 September 2010 – Emerging economies have recovered faster from the crisis than developed countries and are set to become the main engine of growth for the world, leading economists and Chinese officials said today in a panel addressing the outlook for the global economy at the Annual Meeting of the New Champions 2010 in Tianjin, People’s Republic of China.
