Mr. P. Roy has joined The Bengal Chamber of Commerce and Industry as Secretary General with effect from 1st December 2009. After an outstanding academic career in IIT (Kanpur) and XLRI (Jamshedpur), Mr Roy had spent 34 years in Tata Steel and its Group Companies. He was Executive-in-Charge, Ferro Alloys & Minerals for seven years during which global leadership stature was established. Subsequently, he joined Jessop & Co. as Jt. Managing Director and then Jindal Stainless Ltd as Executive Director (Minerals).
