(NYSE: MOT), today announced that its wireless LAN (WLAN) stack and 802.11a/b/g WLAN adapter have been successfully certified by Aspect Labs to meet Federal government FIPS 140-2 Level 1 requirements. Used across Motorola's award-winning family of mobile computing devices, bar code scanners and RFID readers targeted at enterprise and government markets, these innovative technologies enable reliable and secure Wi-Fi connectivity that helps put information into the hands of users, when and where they need it.
