December 15, Kolkata : Bengal national Chamber of commerce and Industry (BNCCI) and West Bengal government, in association with Indian Trade Promotion Organization (ITPO) announced the 23rd Industrial India Trade fair 2009 at a Press Conference in Kolkata today. The Press Conference was addressed by Mr.A.M Chakrabarty, IAS, Chief Secretary, government of West Bengal, Dr.Sabyasachi Sen, IAS, Principal Secretary, Commerce & Industries Department, Government of West Bengal, Mr. Samir Kumar Ghosh, Chairman, 23rd Industrial India Trade fair Committee and Mr. S.K Roy, President, Bengal National chamber of Commerce and Industry.

This year about 7 foreign countries would be participating in the fair namely China, Bangladesh, Egypt, Turkey, Pakistan, Vietnam and Bhutan and several business meets including workshops, seminars, district meets and vendor development programmes would be organized by the Fair Committee. Awards are also being distributed to participants for superlative presentations. The display will focus on engineering including electrical & electronics telecommunications, chemicals and petrochemicals, education and so on. The trade fair will witness a few infrastructural developments like ample parking space to facilitate the visitors, leveling of the fair ground and building of roadways at the Milan Mela Complex to add to the exquisiteness of the place. The trade fair of 2009 will also have a media centre to add to the one of many facilities being provided this year.
