TMK, one of the world's leading producers of tubular products for the oil and gas industry, announces that tests of TMK PF ET premium connections have been successfully conducted at Oil States Industries international testing center (Aberdeen, UK).
The tests were aimed at determining whether the design could maintain gas-tightness under the application of total compression force. During the tests these connections were subjected to both internal and external pressure, tension and compression.
The TMK PF ET design was developed for use in horizontal wells and wells with significant torque and compression pressure.
"Passing these tests at Oil States Industries international testing center places TMK in the league of premium connections global brands. The latest world best practice approach to designing and producing premium connections for oil and gas pipe is to secure their gas-tightness under heavy force applied during operation of the pipe column," said Alexander Shiryaev, TMK CEO. "And TMK, as a global supplier of these products, is following this trend, ensuring the highest quality of its gas tight connections."
