EX SERVICEMEN (ESM) RALLY AT
JHAJJAR
The Army
conducted a rally for its ex-servicemen (ESM) at Palra village (Jhajjar) on 16
May 12 under the aegis of Hissar Military Station. Nearly 7000 ESM of five
districts participated and benefitted from this event. General VK Singh, Chief
of Army Staff attended the rally and addressed the veterans. General Officer
Commanding-in-Chief, South Western Command and General Officer Commanding, 1
Corps were present during the occasion. The Army always endeavours to reach out
to its veterans through such rallies addressing multifarious welfare schemes
including pension adalats, health exhibition, information dissemination by Army
Welfare Housing Organisation,
Army Group Insurance Fund, Resettlement and Recruitment Directorate initiatives. Felicitation of Veer Naris of the region was also organised as part of the event.
