KraussMaffei to exhibit reliable machine technology at Plastindia 2012

Hydraulic double-platen injection molding machine will produce closures for yogurt jars
(Munich, November 28, 2011) KraussMaffei will demonstrate the efficiency of modern hydraulic injection molding machines for the packaging industry at Plastindia 2012 (Stand 12 C 16). A CX 110-380 ClassiX featuring the proven double-platen clamping system will produce screw caps for yogurt jars during a live demonstration.

Efficient injection molding machine for local production demands

"The hydraulic CX 110-380 ClassiX is an ideal machine for our Indian customers who have high production demands, but a limited investment budget. The extensive option catalog means that our ClassiX Series satisfies the highest possible customer demands while still offering short delivery times and maximum cost-effectiveness", said Avatarsingh Sangtani, Managing Director of the Indian subsidiary of KraussMaffei. With its larger mold fixing platens, the machine has more than generous dimensions and permits the use of extremely large molds, a frequent occurrence with moldings in multi-cavity molds.

Small modules with a great effect

The CX ClassiX also contains impressive details right across the board. An additional ejector pump performs the parallel movement of ejector and core puller functions in parallel with the mold movement, thereby shortening the cycle time. The tubing for the cooling water circuits right up to the mold fixing platens enables the mold to be changed quickly and easily, and also reduces set-up times and fault sources. The unsupported clamping unit of the CX ClassiX provides easy access to the mold and a great deal of room for molded part disposal, automation and peripheral devices. The CX is therefore predestined for space-saving injection molding cells. The ClassiX becomes an impressive production cell with robot types, for example an LRX-S 100 linear robot, that are adapted to the machines.

The processor as the focal point

Since 2009, KraussMaffei has developed into a highly regarded technology partner with its Indian subsidiary. As a complete supplier of Injection Molding Machinery, it provides modern machines throughout the entire clamping range from 35 to 4,000 tonnes, a large number of linear and industrial robots, and cross-process solutions from a single source. Customized solutions under the KraussMaffei and KraussMaffei Berstorff brands, e.g. machines and systems for industries such as packaging, construction, infrastructure or agriculture, are greatly appreciated by customers.
