India Partner Country at BAUMA 2010
With around 3,002 exhibitors from 49 countries and total exhibition space of 555,000 square metres, makes BAUMA 2010 the biggest trade fair in the world (in terms of space). This international showcase for construction machinery, building material machines, mining machines, construction vehicles and construction equipment from 19th to 25th April 2010, has immense significance for the Indian Industry as INDIA is the partner country at this edition.
According to Mr. Rajesh Nath – Managing Director of VDMA office in India “with 34 exhibitors BAUMA 2010, has the largest Indian participation in history of BAUMA”. Out of the 34 exhibitors, infact 3 are from the eastern region. These include new exhibitor like Rotamic Hydraulic and existing exhibitors like Speedcraft and IMT
With India being the Partner country at BAUMA 2010, Mr. Kamal Nath - Union Minister for Road Transport and Highway would be the Chief Guest at this event. With focus on India, the German Engineering Federation (VDMA) who are the conceptual sponsors of the BUAMA are organizing a half day Symposium on Indian Construction and Infrastructure Industry on 19th April and half day Symposium on Mining Industry in India. Mr. Kamal Nath would give the keynote address at the Symposium on 19th April. Further the Mining Symposium will have high level presentation from dignitaries like Mr. Balakrishnan – Secretary Coal, Mr. Partha Bhattacharyya – Chairman Coal India and Mr. Rana Som – Chairman NMDC.
Also the next bilateral group meeting of the Indo-German Working Group on Coal would be held on 20th April at BAUMA 2010.
Senior personnels from leading Indian construction and mining companies like Coal India, SCCL, NMDC, HCC, L&T, Gammon, Punj Lloyd, Mcnally Bharat, Nagarjuna Construction, Marg, Ambuja Cement, SREI, and RMC would be visiting BAUMA to interact with the global Mining and Construction fraternity.
Further, more than 4000 Indian visitors are expected to visit BAUMA 2010. This is a good opportunity for the Indian manufacturers to seek business contacts and tie-up with the leading global players.
