On Tuesday, March 30, the works of Artist Lala will be unveiled at the Volkswagen India Plant. Artist Lala is a German settled in Pune and her work represents the cultural exchange between the two countries. There will be around 20 paintings that will be exhibited by her at the Chakan plant on March 30.
On March 31, exactly 1 year after the inauguration, Volkswagen will be organizing an art competition for their employee children between the ages of 6-12 years with the theme of “Volkswagen Employee Children. Winning Hearts with Polo.”. Volkswagen will reward all the participants and later these paintings will be displayed at the plant.
To appreciate and recognize the efforts of its employees Volkswagen will be organizing an after-work dinner for all its employees at the plant on March 31. The theme of the party will be “Volkswagen People. Winning Hearts.”.
For Volkswagen, the new production facility is a major stepping stone towards achieving its ambitious growth targets in the Indian subcontinent. The Pune plant covers all stages in the production process from press shop through body shop and paint shop to final assembly. It has a maximum annual capacity of 110,000 vehicles.
