Norton considers investment opportunities

Norton Gold Fields Limited (ASX: NGF), one of the largest ASX-listed domestically-owned gold producers, wishes to advise the market that it has received approaches from a number of parties expressing interest in investing in Norton and its projects.

Norton Managing Director, Jon Parker, said the Company had had discussions with a range of entities but that these were preliminary in nature and incomplete.

“We have met with parties interested in exploring investment opportunities, some of whom have visited our sites. Norton is considering a number of opportunities in line with its growth strategy and its mandate of maximising value for its shareholders,” Mr Parker said.

The discussions are confidential and incomplete and no agreement has been reached at this time. Norton advises that there is no certainty that any of these discussions will result in an agreement.

Norton has appointed corporate and legal advisors to assist it assess any investment proposals should they eventuate.
