Medicines are going to be expensive due to increase of Excise Duty. Government has increased 1% in Excise duty. Due to that all the general medicine will be costly. Excise duty decreases for Life saving and HIV drugs. But, consumption of Life saving and HIV medicines are less as compare to general medicines. Even the excise duty of basic raw materials and packaging materials rise from 10 to 12% therefore it directly affect the price of the medicines. Overall the medicines are going to be expensive. Government always tries to give medicines in cheap and free but by the way of increasing the tax they make the medicines expensive. Therefore this new budget will definitely effect to all the people.
