The Army Chief, General Bikram Singh alongwith Western Army Commander Lt Gen
Sanjiv Chachra visited Vajra Corps to review the operational preparedness of the
Corps. They were received by Lt Gen S Madhok, GOC of Vajra Corps.
The Army Chief was briefed by the Corps Commander and he interacted with other
senior officers. He expressed his satisfaction on the state of operational
readiness. While addressing all officers in station, he emphasized on
requirement of maintaining the highest standards of operational preparedness and
discipline. He emphasized on value based leadership, as per the legacy of the
Indian Army and the requirement of regular interaction with veterans to imbibe
the rich ethos of our predecessors. The Chief appreciated the efforts to put in
to provide quality recreational facilities to the residents.
Mrs Bubbles Singh, President, AWWA, appreciated the manner in which empowerment
of women was being executed. The President AWWA also visited the “Vajra
vocational Training Centre”. “ASHA School” and interacted with families of
Vajra Corps.
