Shri Shikshayatan Girls score high

in HS and Secondary Examination


Kolkata, June 13, 2012:  Shri Shikshayatan School, one of the well-known and recognized institutes for Girls affiliated under West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education (WBCHSE) and West Bengal Board of Secondary Education (WBBSE) in Kolkata procured a great triumph scoring outstanding marks in Higher Secondary as well as in Secondary examination this year. This year 235 students appeared in HS examination and 277 students appeared in Secondary examination from the institute out of which cent percent students were successful.
Simran Sureka topped the school in WBCHSE examination by scoring 88.6% in Commerce. Vishakha Jiwarajka and Prachi Agrawal were the joint close second securing 86.2%. Ruchika Bairagara with 86% marks is the 3rd highest scorer in school. All of these students have made the school proud with their great performances in the HS examination.
Simran Sureka said,My father was my actual tutor and inspiration. I used to study for not more than 2-3 hours daily but with full concentration. I believe in studying with full dedication and completing the syllabus beforehand so as not to run behind notes in the eleventh hour. I am glad to achieve this position and now its a challenge for me to maintain this position. I would like to thank my parents and all my friends and my school faculty for believing in me.

Shri Shikshsyatan has an impressive performance in Secondary (Madhyamik) examination too where its top three scorers attained above 90% and 266 students out of 277 have obtained above 60 per cent.

The top trio, Bratati Sanyal, Kuheli Dutta and Sayeri Mukhopadhyay scored 91.3%, 91.1% and 90.9% respectively in Secondary examination.
Ms Indrani Ganguly, Principal, Shri Shikshayatan School, a Distinguished Fullbright Awards in Teaching Program (University of Maryland) scholar said,This year the students have performed really well in Higher Secondary and Secondary examinations. I am very happy and delighted to say that most of the students have scored amazingly well. Especially Simran Sureka and Bratati Sanyal have made the school proud. The rate of success has increased this year tremendously in both the board examinations.
Compared to the last year (Batch 2010-2011), there is an increase in the 1st Division by 5.59%. In the current year, 47 students out of 235 have obtained between 80-90% and one out of every three students scored between 70-80% thus raising the academic excellence bar.
Over the years, Shri Shikshayatan School has nurtured its pupils to grow up to be world citizensto adjust, adapt and work for the betterment of social and national development. The aims are to work for the all round development of its pupils, bring out the hidden talent and potentiality of every child, encourage the students to participate in intra and inter-school competitions, nurture an environment for freedom of thought, expression and belief.
