Siemens to equip India’s first Formula 1 racetrack
Siemens India will supply state-of-the-art technical infrastructure for the new Formula 1
racetrack in New Delhi. The order from Jaypee Sports International Ltd. (JPSI) is valued at
1.27 billion Indian rupees (around 21.5 million euros). It covers engineering, installation and
commissioning of the race control management system as well as IT and communications
infrastructure. The Jaypee International Race Circuit, as the racetrack will be called, is
scheduled to be completed by July 2011.
