The Minister for Steel Shri Virbhadra Singh today inaugurated a branch of the Kangra Cooperative Bank Limited at Sant Nagar in Delhi. This is the seventh branch of the bank. Inaugurating the branch Shri Virbhadra Singh said, the bank which had a modest beginning in 1960 has now become the largest cooperative bank in Delhi. The bank has been earning profit and paying dividends since its inception. The Minister said, this reflects the prudent management and the efficiency of its employees. He said, the bank has also provided employment to 150 persons, taken up two welfare schemes besides being a platform for the people of Himachal Pradesh to come together in search of financial security. He expressed the hope that the branch will serve the people with utmost sincerity.
