Sonata Consolidated Q1 Net at Rs 17.76 crore
July 17, 2009: For the first quarter ended 30th June, 2009, Sonata Software’s Consolidated Revenues stood at Rs.378 crores (Rs.408 crores) and Consolidated Net Profit at Rs.17.76 crores (Rs.17.81 crores). RONW and ROCE for Q1 FY10 (consolidated) stood at 25% and 27% respectively.
The company’s performance showed a marginal improvement over the previous quarter with both Consolidated Revenues and Net Profit going up by 3% QoQ.
Mr. B. Ramaswamy, President and Managing Director, Sonata Software Limited said, “In a quarter that saw tightening of IT budgets and high volatility in exchange rates, we are pleased with the results. We are further investing in the India and Middle East markets and adding new practice areas to drive long term growth”.
During the quarter, the company bagged significant projects from a leading provider of video solutions in the US, a large electronics retailer in Saudi Arabia and a large general insurance company.
