Moreh (Manipur) is connected to Myanmar via Tamu-Kaletwa-Klaemyo(TKK) road which has been constructed and upgraded with Indian Government assistance by BRO in 2001.
India and Myanmar are also in discussions to undertake other road projects including road from Zawkhather (Mizoram)/Rhi into Myanmar. These roads besides providing a valuable cross border link between India and Myanmar, enhance cross border trade, tourism and economic development of the areas on both sides of the border.
This information was given by Smt. Preneet Kaur, Minister of State for External Affairs in reply to a question by Dr. Thokchom Meinya in Lok Sabha today.
