Efficient general-purpose PUR machine
EcoStar metering machines provide premium quality machine technology with low investment costs
(Munich, August 14, 2012) At Fakuma 2012 (hall A7, booth 7303/7304), KraussMaffei is presenting the standard model of its polyurethane mixing and metering machines at the center point of reaction process machinery. In keeping with the trade show's motto, "Be efficient", the compact EcoStar 16/16 offers the premium quality KraussMaffei machine technology as a cost-effective, state-of-the-art metering system at an attractive price for all common polyurethane applications.
Star quality - Eco costs
With the EcoStar series, KraussMaffei provides polyurethane metering machines in premium quality at low investment costs. The advantageous price-performance ratio of the new series is achieved through consistent standardization and a reduced number of variants. This also results in an attractive delivery period. The EcoStar series is equipped with premium quality components to guarantee reliable process control and high component quality. "Our EcoStar is a machine that can be used anywhere for a very wide variety of polyurethane processing areas. It has found a very high degree of acceptance globally among longtime users and among beginners," confirms Nicolas Beyl, Head of the Reaction Process Machinery Division at KraussMaffei.
Standard module out of the modular system
The basic version of the EcoStar 16/16, which KraussMaffei demonstrated at Fakuma, has an outrigger and is equipped with an MK 8/12 ULKP-2KVV transfer mixing head. At a mixing ratio of 1:1, the machine provides a total discharge capacity of 40 to 550 grams per second or, for laminar input in the open mold, 40 to 220 grams per second; this is suitable for many applications. Even the basic version of the EcoStar contains features such as double-walled material hoppers, fill level monitoring, flow measurement and a Siemens S7 control system. All process-relevant components are also used in the well-known and proven mixing and metering systems from KraussMaffei and receive praise due to their long lifespan and process consistency. Along with premium quality basic equipment, various feed volumes and other options are also available for the EcoStar to adapt it to customer-specific requirements. For high-pressure mixing, both linear and optional transfer mixing heads are available. As such, a suitable metering machine can be found at an advantageous price-to-performance ratio for every application.
