YANG MING LINE RETURNS TO AUSTRALIAN TRADE IN PARTNERSHIP WITH INCHCAPE SHIPPING SERVICES

Inchcape Shipping Services has been appointed agents for Yang Ming Line across Australia. This top-twenty global container line based in Taiwan is returning to the Asia Australia trades after an absence of eleven years.


ISS Australia has developed a strong Liner presence in recent times and this appointment represents a further significant step forward in the sector. ISS remains one of the leading dependent agencies in the region.


Yang Ming will deploy one of five modern 4,200teu vessels within the CKA Consortium
that already consists of Hanjin, STX Pan Ocean, Sinotrans and another new entrant, slotcharterer, Grand China Logistics.


Royce Brain, Regional SVP for ISS Australasia said: “This appointment further
complements our existing Liner portfolio as well as our traditional agency business.

Glen Van Langenberg, based in the ISS Melbourne office, is heading up the new ISS
Yang Ming team supported by a dedicated sales and customer service staff. He
