Exset, pioneers of pay-TV ecosystems for emerging markets,
has appointed Gary Ellis as its Chief Technology Officer with immediate
effect.
Ellis has over thirty years’ experience in the television
business and most recently was Director of Technology for Seachange
International/Events.
Alex Borland, CEO, Exset, said, “We are delighted
that Gary Ellis has joined our team and with his wealth of experience in this
field, we know he’s the right person to take our business forward.”
Ellis
commented, “I’m looking forward to working with Exset, providing viable
solutions for pay-TV in emerging markets. The challenge is to facilitate the
creation of pay-TV systems that are suitable for the majority of the population,
not just the elite. This requires an innovative approach to monetisation, which
is Exset’s core rationale.”
During his career to date Ellis has
worked at senior levels on system and product architecture, product design and
strategy. His roles include Director of Solutions Architecture at Microsoft
Mediaroom, Director of TV Solutions for NTL and Engineering Manager at Abekas
Video Systems.
