A Joint Venture of SAIL and NTPC- NTPC-SAIL Power Company Private Ltd. (NSPCL)’s Bhilai Expansion Power Project achieved its ultimate capacity of 500 MW (2 x 250 MW) yesterday. The occasion was graced by Union Power Minister Shri Sushilkumar Shinde and Union Minister for Steel Shri Virbhadra Singh ,Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh Dr. Raman Singh and Shri Bharatsinh Solanki.Minister of State for Power.
With the full load operation of 2 x 250 MW , total capacity of NSPCL’s Captive Power Plants has risen to 814 MW .
Senior officials from Ministry of Power and CPSUs and several dignitaries from Chhattisgarh were also present on the occasion.
