Dear Friends,
I am off to Singapore to attend Beyond Boundaries III - the annual global meet of alumni / alumnae of St. Xavier's College, Kolkata. As part of the meet we are organising "Beautiful Bengal" a platform to highlight investment opportunities in West Bengal and attract industries and investments to the state. Hon. Sri. Partha Chatterjee, Minister of Industries, Government of West Bengal will address the gathering of Xaverians, industrialists and local dignitaries.
The event is unique in as much that it is an effort by the alumnus of an academic institution to facilitate the process of economic resurgence of a state, while customarily it is the state that aids and nurtures centers of education.
The event will also witness the conferring of the Global Xaverian Award to Sayed Manzoor Elahi of Bangladesh for his achievements in the true Xaverian spirit of Nihil Ultra (Nothing Beyond).
