NPCC Aims at Achieving Mini Ratna Status in 2017-18
Minister of Water Resources & Parliamentary Affairs, Shri Pawan Kumar Bansal has expressed hope that the National Projects Construction Corporation Ltd.(NPCC), a Public Sector Enterprise under the Ministry of Water Resources will successfully compete with private sector in developing infrastructure in the country. He was addressing the 56th Annual Day function of the NPCC in New Delhi yesterday evening. Shri Bansal complimented the Corporation for achieving the turnaround in a short time and hoped that the company will look forward to achieve its objectives. He said that the Government will look into the issues of the NPCC employees for better service conditions.
The Minister released the NPCC Corporate Plan which provides the vision for the next 10 years of the company.
Secretary, Ministry of Water Resources Shri Dhruv Vijai Singh and the Chairman & Managing Director, Shri A. K. Jhamb also addressed the function.
During the year 2010-11, NPCC achieved the turnover of Rs.1082 crores with a profitability of more than Rs.72 Crores. The Company aims at touching Rs.2000 crores turnover in the year 2015-16 and also proposes to declare dividend during the same year and attain Mini Ratna Status in 2017-18.
