Titagarh Wagons reports 26.61% growth in sales; PAT rises by 49% in second quarter of 2010
Kolkata, Nov. 13, 2010: Titagarh Wagons Ltd (TWL), one of the country’s leading private sector wagon manufacturers, today announced a growth of 26% in net sales for the quarter ended September 30, 2010 to Rs.166.54 crores compared to Rs 131.54 crores in the corresponding quarter last year. Net profit in the quarter under review increased by 49% to Rs 17.64 crores against Rs 11.83 crores in the like quarter of 2009
Cumulative sales and net profit for the six-months to September 30, 2010 stood at Rs .322.48 crores and Rs 38.21 crores respectively against sales of Rs. 237.27 crores and net profit of Rs 23.09 crores in the comparable half of 2009. TWL had reported sales and net profit of Rs 554.22 crores and Rs 65.37 crores respectively in the year ended March 31, 2010. Earning per share stood at Rs 20.32 as on September 30, 2010.
