India-Africa Partnership to Mark 21st Century Global Economy

  • Human and natural resources are key to the India-Africa relationship
  • 800 participants from over 45 countries are taking part from 14 to 16 November  

New Delhi, India, 16 November 2010 - The prime minister of Kenya and the minister of commerce and industry of India agreed that their countries are embarking on a new era of South-South cooperation that promises to become a hallmark of the global economy. "The India-Africa partnership is going to be a defining one in this century because of the resources, both natural and human," said Anand Sharma, Minister of Commerce and Industry of India.
