Single Window Clearance System
Since the gazetting of the Coastal Regulation Zone (CRZ) Notification, 2011 on 6th January, 2011, single clearance letter is issued for developmental projects appraised under this Notification and under the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) Notification, 2006 through which a single window system has, in effect, put in place.
There is no proposal to establish independent and administrative machinery for single window clearances, as on date.
This information was given by the Minister of State for Environment and Forests (independent charge) Shrimati Jayanthi Natarajan in a written reply to a question by. Shri Nityananda Pradhan ,Shri Baijayant Jay Panda and Shri Dushyant Singh in Lok Sabha today.
