Siemens acquires energy consulting company EUtech

The Siemens Division Industry Solutions took over EUtech Energie & Management (E&M) GmbH, headquartered in Aachen, Germany. With the acquisition, Siemens Industry Solutions strengthens its service business in energy and environmental management. EUtech has 20 employees and recently achieved worldwide sales of €1.6 million with consulting services in the energy and environmental area.

“EUtech possesses expertise and market know-how for modern practices, processes and facilities in industry and infrastructure and has in-depth knowledge about national and international energy and climate policy. The acquisition strengthens our service and offerings in the area of energy efficiency,” explained Dr. Thomas Moser, head of Siemens Industrial Technologies, a Business Unit of the Siemens Division Industry Solutions.

The consulting company EUtech was founded in 1995 and provides services in the areas of energy efficiency, energy business, energy policy, climate protection. EUtech will contribute to the part of the worldwide Siemens Industrial Technologies business concerned with energy optimization and consulting, thereby strengthening the Siemens environmental portfolio.

Siemens Industrial Technologies is a worldwide systems and solutions integrator for industry, infrastructure and electrical equipment for ships and water distribution. As a global service provider it offers production facilities in the Pulp & Paper and Cement industries through the entire life cycle. The business activities range from information processing, energy management, system integration and automation all the way through to the management, maintenance, modernization and servicing of complex projects.
