Wolfsburg, November 20, 2009 – Dr. Arno Antlitz (39) is to succeed Lothar Sander as the member of the Board of Management of the Volkswagen brand with responsibility for Controlling and Accounting with effect from January 1, 2010 following Sander’s retirement. Antlitz currently heads Product Controlling at the Volkswagen brand. The Chairman of the Board of Management of Volkswagen Aktiengesellschaft, Prof. Dr.
Martin Winterkorn, stated: “Lothar Sander has achieved much for our company in over 30 years of service. Volkswagen’s good financial position is in no small measure due to his commitment.”
Dr. Arno Antlitz is an engineering graduate and holds a doctorate in economics. Following various posts as project manager and in the management of international business consultants, he assumed responsibility for Product Line Controlling and Investment Planning at Volkswagen in Wolfsburg in 2004. He has been Head of Product Controlling and chairman of the Volkswagen brand’s Investment Committee since October 2006.
Lothar Sander was appointed member of the Volkswagen brand Board of Management with responsibility for Controlling and Accounting on January 1, 1995. He had previously been Head of the Group General Secretariat and held various senior management posts at Audi AG in Ingolstadt, including Head of the Finance and Accounting Division
