Honda Siel Cars India registers a growth of 7.5% in April ’09

New Delhi, May 01: Honda Siel Cars India (HSCI), leading manufacturer of premium cars in India, continued its upward movement in the first month of the new Financial Year 2009 – 10. The company registered sales of 3,656 units during the month of April’09, an impressive growth of 7.5% over 3,400 units sold during April ’08. 

 Expressing delight over the company’s performance Mr. Jnaneswar Sen, Vice President, Marketing, Honda Siel Cars India Ltd. said, “We have shown resilience during the slowdown and have entered the new financial year on a positive note. We are very excited about our new premium car, Honda Jazz which will be launched very soon in India.”

 Honda Siel Cars India Ltd., (HSCI) leading manufacturer of passenger cars in India was established in December 1995 as a joint venture between Honda Motor Co. Ltd (Japan) and Siel Limited with a commitment to provide Honda’s latest passenger car models and technologies, to the Indian customers. 


HSCI’s first state-of-the-art manufacturing unit was set up at Greater Noida, U.P in 1997 with an investment of Rs. 450 crore. The total investment made by the company in India till date is Rs. 1620 crores. At present, the company has a capacity of manufacturing 100,000 cars.

 HSCI’s second manufacturing facility is in Tapukara, Rajasthan. This facility is spread over 600 acres and will have an initial production capacity of 60,000 units per annum, with an investment of about Rs 1,000 crore. The first phase of this facility was inaugurated in September 2008.

All cars are doing good in India in 2009. How is this possible when there is recession/ Mahindra Xylo has sold 15000 units already in 3 months. that is Simply amazing. Actually Xylo is a very amazing, Practical Vehicle and Mahindra gives good service so Xylo is hit.

In Honda cars I like Honda Civic. very nice

I wanted to buy Honda Civic. Then Xylo was launched on jan 13th so I changed my mind. Now I got Xylo.
