Change on the Management Board of Steel Europe / Thilo Lutz to succeed Dr. Jost A. Massenberg

Dr. Jost A. Massenberg (56), longstanding Chief Sales Officer of ThyssenKrupp Steel Europe AG, is leaving the company at his own request to take on a new professional challenge. Effective March 1, 2013 Dr. Massenberg will become Chief Executive Officer of Düsseldorf/Germany-based Benteler Distribution International GmbH. The Executive Board of ThyssenKrupp AG thanks Dr. Massenberg for his commitment and dedication to the company over the past years.

He shall be succeeded on the Executive Board of ThyssenKrupp Steel Europe AG by Thilo Lutz (44), currently head of Auto Sales at ThyssenKrupp Steel Europe AG. Thilo Lutz is a mechanical engineer who has already worked in various management positions for companies of ThyssenKrupp AG for more than seven years. Before joining the company he spent many years with the Boston Consulting Group as a project manager.

The personnel changes are subject to the approval of the responsible supervisory bodies.
